Interesting story about a gambling champion who goes to a private school to ultimately win 2 million yen. Discusses all sorts of gambling tricks and such. Much more interesting than I make it sound.

This is a great manga from the guys that did DeathNote. The story of two kids who are determined to become mangaka (weekly manga artists). Also gives an incredible amount of insight into what happens behind the scenes of creating manga.

If you haven't read Battle Angel Alita and it's sequel Last Order, you are doing yourself a great disservice. The only thing I can say about it that won't cast it in a bad light is that the series takes up an entire shelf on my book case and I've read it in entirety several times. Bakuman sounds vaguely similar to Genshiken, which I also highly recommend. *edit* I included images for you.

Oh My Goddess! Is just such a classic, I can't help but post it here. The story follows the life of college age kid - Keji, who one night, calls the Goddess Help Line, thinking it's a prank. Telling the person on the phone he wants someone to stay with him forever, the Goddess, Belldandy joins him. She has nothing but the best of intentions, but she's not familiar with Earth customs!

There is some incredible artwork in these books, based off of Chinese folk tales.

A collection of vignettes from the Grand Father of modern manga. This is some good, thought provoking stuff here. BTW, the name is "The Crater" named after the last story in the series.

Just found this one, after looking all over for it forever. This is some of the funniest stuff I have ever read. Tells the tale of one Ranma Saotome, who (along with his father) fell into cursed springs while sparring. Now, whenever he is splashed with cold water, he turns into a girl, while his father turns into a panda bear. What's even worse, is that Ranma is betrothed to a girl who hates his guts!
